Chemnitz in Germany will be European Cultural Capital in 2025. A number of additional open calls of the “European Workshop for Culture and Democracy” with various topics have started and project ideas and concepts can be sumbitted.

Chemnitz and 38 partner municipalities and communities in the Central Saxony, Erzgebirge and Zwickau region will be the European Capital of Culture 2025. 

The city of Chemnitz has opened four job positions in the European Capital of Culture team for 2025: Legal Counsel (deadline 20/11/2022); Officer in the Management (deadline 20/11/2022); Assistant in the Management (deadline 20/11/2022); Working student in the field of Marketing (deadline 31/10/2022).

A central theme of the European Capital of Culture 2025: the doers. Because they are the ones who shape our cities, regions and the whole of Europe and write history. They often work on a small scale, at the workbench, in the basement or behind the counter.
