2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture presents the new project of internationally acclaimed artist, Euripides Laskaridis, entitled Mystery 108 KAMARES.

The Swedish Arts Council today published a call for applications for the designation as European Capital of Culture 2029. For Sweden, it will be the third time that one of our cities has been nominated. In 1998 Stockholm received the title of capital of culture, and in 2014 two European cities received this title: Umeå in Sweden and Riga in Latvia.

The Valletta Cultural Agency’s programme of events takes place between the 25th of November and the 31st of December with over 25 events spread over 25 days.

These are days of great trepidation in Portugal. The visits of the evaluation panel to the four cities of Portugal that have entered the short list to become European Capital of Culture for 2027 start today.

A year ago, three researchers, Michael Kurzwelly, Tanel Rander and Miha Kosovel, who are residents of various European cities divided in two by borders, founded the Transbordering Laboratory project.  Their main objectives were to research and map European cities that are divided by borders, to find partners, and to establish connections and a sustainable network.

"European Eyes on Japan/Japan Today" is a photography project that has been carried out since 1999 in cooperation with the European capital of culture each year.

The Brussels2030 Summer Assembly is a key pillar in preparation for the Brussels' candidacy as European Capital of Culture. It was organized at Tour à Plomb from Monday July 4th till Friday July 8th 2022, offering a dynamic program with keynotes, co-creation labs, bar talks, site visits, walkshops, film screenings and artistic performances.
