Salon Concert October 22, 2022: Transience - The Eternal Struggle for Recognition
An evening about composers of the first half of the 20th century who stood their ground in their time. The revival of forgotten music and the mediation of forgotten fates, especially from the time of National Socialism, are the focus of this concert. The deputy concertmaster of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, Marietta Kratz (violin), together with her orchestra colleagues Laura Escanilla (viola) and Valentin Priebus (violoncello), and Henning Lucius (piano), lecturer at the Musikhochschule Lübek and MNT Rostock, will give a voice to the displaced and forgotten composers. The author and project leader Benno Ure moderates.
Salon Concert October 28, 2022: New Worlds
Leaving the familiar, looking for the new: culture migrates with the emigration of composers from all over the world. Soprano Arabella Fenyves presents together with pianist Alfredo Ovalles and celloist Ana Topalovic works by Arvo Pärt, Sofia Gubaidulina, Osvaldo Golijov and more in a colorful evening of 20th & 21st century music. And she tells the stories of those who left Estonia, Russia, Argentina, Iran, Venezuela and Germany for political, religious or personal reasons.
