Tartu with Southern Estonia is the European Capital of Culture in 2024. Tartu 2024 is guided by the artistic concept Arts of Survival. These are the knowledge, skills, and values that will help everyone lead a good life in the future. Tartu and Southern Estonia’s goal is to share these values with and to learn more from Europe.

The Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic published the Experts Panel’s report on the Selection of the European Capital of Culture 2026 in Slovakia. It states how the experts panel perceived the final bids of finalists - Nitra, Trenčín and Žilina - their final Bid books, presentations, Q&A session as well as jury visit in each city. The panel also wrote recommendations for every city.

The international forum Kultuurikompass: ”How To Change The World Through Environmentally Friendly Cultural Management?” returns on April 28. The major event taking place at the Estonian National Museum explores how cultural management practices can be made more environmentally friendly and have a positive impact on society.

ParkinSound is a project promoted by the Municipality of Braga and Braga'27 (candidate for European Capital of Culture - Portugal 2027), within the scope of the Braga Cultural Strategy 2020–2030, which promotes the cultural and social integration of people with Parkinson's Disease, through music.

From Thursday, April 28, to Sunday, May 1, in Elefsina, 2023 Eleusis Cultural Capital of Europe, in collaboration with the art organization DAN.C.CE UNITIVA and the European platform Aerowaves, is hosting Spring Forward, the 10th anniversary dance celebration of the Aerowaves network, the largest European network of contemporary dance.

This year Kaunas, Lithuania has become the European Capital of Culture, and to mark the  occasion, the Lizdas nightclub has prepared a huge urban festival called AUDRA (eng. the  Storm). Contemporary art installations, exhibitions, events and live performances scattered  throughout the city’s spaces will rock the streets of the European Capital of Culture for five  days – 29 June – 3 July. 

Liepāja is one of the four latvians cities in short list for European Capital of culture 2027. This year, Liepāja Culture Department evaluated 63 project applications that were submitted to the Culture Projects Competition and 14 of them received the municipality's support. These projects will be allocated the competition funding of EUR 50 000.

For the first time, the works by leading names in national art such as Uroš Predić and Paja Jovanović, the greats of European art El Greco, Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun and Marc Chagall, as well as contemporary artists Mladen Miljanović, Vladan Jeremić, Rene Redle, Safet Zec and Taus Makhacheva will be presented in this year’s European Capital of Culture.

Coloring the Clock, the monumental landmark of the city that dominates the hill of the Archaeological Site of Elefsina, the Clock Tower Voices hosted in their third edition, on Sunday, November 21, 2021, a great interpreter of Greek texts, Lydia Koniordou.

The special performance is part of a series of original sound performances, interpretations of landmark texts of Greek literature by distinguished artists, which mark the Mystery 2 | Clock Tower Voces 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture and it is screen free of charge from Tuesday 22 February at 18.00 p.m. on the official YouTube channel of 2023 ELEUSIS.
