The selected works will be presented at the 24th edition of LFF, which will take place from August 7th to 13th, 2023.
Various genres are allowed (fiction, documentaries, animations, etc.). At the center of the story is the participation of operators, local authorities and citizens and the involvement obtained in co-creation and co-design processes with the community, the creation of new cultural schedules, innovative original productions, great music and theater performances, in-depth festivals, cinema, and film.
From identity themes to the European dimension, from roots to the future, the contest invites to tell the challenges won and the milestones achieved and the influence generated after the event in the field of cultural policies and territorial marketing of cities.
The section aims to further strengthen the relationships between the ECOC Capitals by creating opportunities for the creative communities that animate the scene, telling the processes and the most intimate objectives underlying the candidatures of the cities.
The first edition is reserved for the following capitals:
Esch (Luxembourg), Kaunas (Lithuania), Novi Sad (Serbia) / 2022
Galway (Ireland), Rijeka (Croatia) / 2020
Matera (Italy), Plovdiv (Bulgaria) / 2019
The short films to be submitted must be sent by July 25th, 2023.
