The director will be responsible for setting the EHMK title implementation strategy and its management. In addition to managing the institute itself, he/she will be responsible for creating an environment in which the team and partner organizations will implement the plans from the application and create an innovative program of high artistic quality. It aims to attract visitors from all over the Czech Republic and Europe and to contribute to the long-term improvement of the quality of life in the city and the South Bohemian Region.

The overarching theme of the České Budějovice application is (PERMA)CULTURE, i.e. the sustainable development of culture. The task of the registered institute is to create this environment through program implementation, public involvement, development of human capacities in the cultural and creative sector and the creation of interdisciplinary collaborations. For this purpose, the connection of the registered institute and the South Bohemian cultural and creative sector to European networks, organizations and partner cities is key.
