The project fuses politics, arts and culture to create dialogue, share ideas and respond to contemporary European and global challenges. It will do this through an engaging and interactive programme of discussions, workshops, artistic performances, exhibitions and other activities.
Galway is looking for proposals for activities to be included in the EYE on the Edge program. If there are brilliant ideas for a panel discussion, a workshop, a musical performance or another artistic performance, it is possible to participate in a call that expires on 10 March 2021.
The central theme and message of the EYE on the Edge program are DIFFERENT VOICES. Galway 2020 wants to celebrate diversity and bring together different groups, different views and different solutions to some of the most important issues facing today such as climate change, racism, isolation and mental health, resilience and recovery in a pandemic and other shared global problems.
The EYE on the Edge project is part of the Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture programme and is a local European Youth Event (EYE), a biennial event in Strasbourg which brings together thousands of young people from all over the European Union and beyond to share and shape their ideas on the future of Europe.
