On Saturday 15 July, Open Sound Festival, one of the legacy projects of Matera 2019, presents the final evening of the 2023 edition in the Pollino National Park, from 7.30 p.m., with Eugenio in Via Di Gioia and other guests, at sunset, in the wonderful setting of Mulino Iannarelli in San Severino Lucano (Potenza, Basilicata, Italy).

A day of total immersion in nature and sound that starts already in the morning, at 11.00 a.m. with the opportunity, for those with a concert ticket, to participate in a free excursion together with the band, accompanied by an official guide of the Pollino National Park. Appointment at 11.00 a.m. at Piano Ruggio, inside the Rifugio De Gasperi, for a walk suitable for everyone, perfect for getting to know the Pollino National Park and the Pino Loricato. A programme that reflects the commitment to the environment and the genuine relationship with the public that has always distinguished Eugenio in via di Gioia.

From the Sassi of Matera to the woods, the story of Open Sound Festival thus continues in an intimate venue with limited seating, for a day marked by sustainability and an experience that goes beyond the festival and its artistic proposals.

Due to the limited capacity of the venue, they recommend purchasing tickets in advance from Ticketmaster at the following link https://shorturl.at/dgnsA. Places for the excursion are also limited and reserved for those attending the concert who must, in any case, book by sending an email to Questo indirizzo email è protetto dagli spambots. Eugenio In Via Di Gioia arrive in San Severino Lucano for one of the stages of their summer journey 'A un passo dalla città' (One step from the city), in nature, far from the hectic pace of the city.

The Turin-based band, with four studio albums, an EP and a collection to their credit, has trodden important stages all over Italy. With the song 'Altrove', the band exceeded 12 million plays on Spotify and won the Gold Record, while with 'Tsunami', EVDG took the stage at the Sanremo Festival and won the 'Mia Martini' Critics' Prize for the Newcomers section. Memorable was the night between 28 and 29 March 2022 when they gathered in Piazza San Carlo in Turin together with 150 boys and girls with 4000 chalks and 3000 metres of scotch tape to write on the ground the greatest declaration of love towards our Planet: TI AMO ANCORA. An operation that went viral on social media and was widely covered by national and international media. Thanks to their talent for combining music, art and activism, EVDG are now an anthem for action, civic engagement and love.

"We chose to host Eugenio in Via di Gioia precisely because of this identity, as well as the special relationship they know how to establish with their audience, with nature and with places. And, above all, for their ability, and their very personal way of conveying important content through music. - says Nico Ferri, General Director of Open Sound Festival. Being able to walk with them and host them in concert is a precious opportunity for the festival and for our audience".

Before Eugenio in Via di Gioia, on stage comes the original vision of Smania Uagliuns, an alternative hip-hop band from Lucania, considered among the most innovative by qualified media.

There will also be a food area with typical products, in collaboration with the Mulino Iannarelli Restaurant, and, for those wishing to fully experience the spirit of a day at high altitude, it is possible to stay at the campsite not far from the venue, as indicated at the link below pollinomusicfestival.it/camping, i.e. at the former campsite of Mezzana Salice currently managed by the LucaniaWorld Association. Bookings can be made at the following numbers: tel 347.0283533 - whatsapp 389 7895802.

About 20 minutes from the Iannarelli Mill, it is then possible to take a ride on the 'RB RIDE' Panoramic Carousel, a work of contemporary art by the artist Carsten Holler (ArtePollino), probably the slowest carousel in the world, at 1125 metres, on the Timpa della Guardia belvedere, with free access. Finally, in the Bosco Magnano locality, in addition to enjoying the trails among turkey oaks, beech trees and streams, you can visit the Pollino Adventure Park and practice Tree climbing, River trekking and many other activities for all ages in close contact with nature.

Open Sound Festival / Pollino Music is conceived, curated and organised by the cultural association Multietnica of Potenza with the collaboration of the Municipality of San Severino Lucano (PZ).
