EcocNews.com, an online newspaper based in Matera, born in February 2021 as a spin-off of Matera2019 and from the experience of professionals who have worked in the long and exciting journey of Matera, European Capital of Culture, has become mediapartner of Culture next, a network of 34 cities representing 19 European countries.
Growing as an association at a European level and having the opportunity to show as many people as possible what it means to be part of a cultural volunteering association has always been part of the objectives of the Volontari Open Culture 2019 association.
Since EcocNews has been online, just after the pandemic, we have been doing a series of interviews with cultural managers and European Capital of Culture experts. In this time we have heard from Bob Scott, Steve Green, Beatriz Garcia, Chris Torch, Rossella Tarantino, Franco Bianchini, Shuji-Kogi, Sylvain Pasqua and Chris Baldwin. Today the interview is with Ariane Bieou.
Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, Collegiate Shag and Jazz Dance are some of the swing dances that, together with the Blues, will animate the Ionian coast (near Matera, European Capital of culture 2019) from 18 to 26 August 2024 at Policoro in Swing, an international festival of swing music and dance now in its tenth edition.
A boutique festival in two unique and immersive locations, which from Basilicata looks to the sound of tomorrow. From 27 July to 3 August, Open Sound Festival returns to Matera, European Capital of Culture in 2019, and to the Pollino National Park, also in the Basilicata region, with James Holden, Bombino, Venerus (dj set), Thru Collected, Fossick Project (Marta Del Grandi & Cecilia Valagussa), Vladimir Ivkovic, Paolo Angeli and other names.
