The 17th Culture Next Conference brings the Culture Next network to Oulu, European Capital of Culture 2026, for three days of exchange, reflection, and meaningful connection. During the conference, EcocNews’s media partnership with Culture Next – of which we are very proud – will be officially announced.

This November, the 2026 European Capital of Culture launches a new international festival of light, sound and media art. At its heart: Björk's tribute to her mother and works exploring our relationship with nature, from the Arctic climate to the cosmos

Arctic Food Lab's Taste Adventure will be held from 23 to 26 September. 23 restaurants and cafés from the Oulu region have registered for the event. They have planned dishes priced at 5 and 7 euros for the event. Customers will score the dishes they taste, and the winners will be announced after the event.

An immersive installation by Jakob Kudsk Steensen reimagines the Kivisydän car park beneath Oulu city centre as a virtual world of botanical afterlife. The exhibition runs from 18 September to 30 November.

TAR stands for Time, Ahnung, and Rajaton: three words, three languages, and still growing – not towards a genre, a scene, or a style, but towards the element itself. Sound.
