The general coordinator of the Cáceres European Capital of Culture 2031 Consortium, Iris Jugo, has traveled to Malta with the aim of establishing synergies and studying joint projects with the places in this country that—like Cáceres—are bidding for the European Capital of Culture 2031 title. With this visit, Cáceres becomes the first Spanish city to develop a mission in Malta within the framework of these bids.

Cáceres 2031 calls on european composers to find the author or authors of its ‘Cantata Europa: Music for Coexistence’, an initiative that will promote community values among children and teenagers.

The Spanish city's bid plans to move along 9 thematic axes: Cultural and Digital Innovation; Heritage and Sustainability; Creative and Sustainable Tourism; Social Cohesion, Inclusion and Multiculturalism; European Dimension; Spaces for Culture; Training and Education; Dissemination and Awareness; Employment and Cultural Entrepreneurship.
