True North' is a filmed live-performance for future streaming release with new music from a-ha. Set in the awesome landscape of Northern Norway and recorded in the town of Bodø up above the Arctic Circle, the music from the film will be made available as a new album from the group for the first time since 'Cast in Steel’ (2015).

The title of European Capital of Culture 2024 is both an honour and a huge responsibility. Through their successful application, with a focus on Salt.Water and the 4 Programme lines (Power of Tradition, Strength of Counter Culture, Impact of (Hyper)Tourism, Flow to Retreat), the region has come together to invite Europe to the Salzkammergut.

Strange numerical coincidences.  On July 24, the ministry of cultural heritage in Italy issued a press release announcing that there are 24 candidate cities for the Italian capital of culture in 2024. In short, everything depends on the number 24.

Bodø and Nordland were designated in September 2019 to hold the title of European Capital of Culture in 2024. This followed a three-year bidding process, which culminated in the EU application ARCTICulation.

We asked managers of the European capitals of culture from 2022 to 2025, five same questions to understand their expectations in a clear and concise way. Each interview is preceded by a fact sheet on that European capital of culture. The format is the same for all. At the end of the series of interviews we will try to make a synthesis of objectives, trends, expectations by the Ecocs.
