The title of European Capital of Culture 2024 is both an honour and a huge responsibility. Through their successful application, with a focus on Salt.Water and the 4 Programme lines (Power of Tradition, Strength of Counter Culture, Impact of (Hyper)Tourism, Flow to Retreat), the region has come together to invite Europe to the Salzkammergut.

We asked managers of the European capitals of culture from 2022 to 2025, five same questions to understand their expectations in a clear and concise way. Each interview is preceded by a fact sheet on that European capital of culture. The format is the same for all. In 2024 the Salzkammergut with Bad Ischl will be the European Capital of Culture. Bad Ischl - Salzkammergut 2024 is looking for as soon as possible a project manager (focus on music) who will be part of the program team. It is a full-time job based in Bad Ischl.
