With its international dimension, the Procida island, the Italian capital of culture for 2022, turns a thought to the Irish people on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, when the patron saint of the Emerald Isle is celebrated, by dyeing a of its symbols, Palazzo Merlato, which already hosts the slogan ““Culture never isolates”.

The Capacity Building for European Capitals of Culture project , launched in 2019 and funded by the European Union, offers professionals from a range of disciplines the opportunity to be part of a European database gathering a pool of experts to provide training and capacity-building services, in specific areas of interest and relevance, to designated upcoming European Capitals of Culture.
