This is the direction taken by an original initiative launched by Trencin 2026 aimed at collecting the stories of its inhabitants through individual interviews.

As part of the Trenčín 2026 project, the DATA26 team is looking for residents of Trenčín who would like to share their story and contribute to a deeper understanding of the cultural and social life in their city.

“Share with us what Trenčín means to you, where in the city you like to spend your free time, where you meet people, where you go for culture, and what value the city holds for you. These biographical interviews follow the results of the population survey conducted in Trenčín in November 2024 and are part of a long-term study taking place annually until 2027. Your participation will help us capture how your view of the city and its culture evolves over time”.

The interviews will be conducted in person at a pleasant, quiet location agreed upon in advance. It will be an informal conversation with a researcher, during which you will freely tell your story. Afterwards, you will be asked additional questions. The interviews are anonymous; your name or any other identifying details will not be published or analyzed.

 Participation conditions:

Duration of the interview: Approximately 1 to 2 hours.
Compensation for completed interview: 30 EUR.
Long-term collaboration: If you participate in the first interview in 2025, we would like to repeat the biographical interview with you during the same period in 2026 and 2027.
How to apply?

“If you are interested in participating, please fill out the registration form available on our website. Once submitted, we will contact you to arrange a short introductory call to determine whether you meet the required criteria. This conversation will be led by qualitative researchers from the DATA26 team. Afterwards, we will schedule the biographical interview itself”.

At the beginning of the call, the only criterion is living in Trenčín, so the first applicants will have a higher chance of being selected. Over time, they will look for participants with specific characteristics to ensure the diversity and representativeness of their sample. For this reason, the selection may become stricter later on, focusing on specific resident profiles.

The call is open until September 2025 or until the required number of participants is reached. We therefore recommend registering as soon as possible to increase your chances of participation.
