Glocal Equality and Hospitality (Invalidated Ideas?) is a major group exhibition opening on August 7, 2026, at the newly renovated County House (Župný dom) in Trenčín, Slovakia as part of the Trenčín 2026 – European Capital of Culture programme.

A contemporary perspective on the ancient world, capable of bringing back to the present day and renewing, within our own time, the original aura of works and monuments from a lost Mediterranean. An immersion in the vision of the past through powerful images, the result of a transformative photographic art.

An immersive installation by Jakob Kudsk Steensen reimagines the Kivisydän car park beneath Oulu city centre as a virtual world of botanical afterlife. The exhibition runs from 18 September to 30 November.

TAR stands for Time, Ahnung, and Rajaton: three words, three languages, and still growing – not towards a genre, a scene, or a style, but towards the element itself. Sound.

To mark the opening day of the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026, an evening event open to all will take place on 20 June, starting at 6 pm, celebrating friendship, culture and the ties between the two European Capitals of Culture: Trenčín and Nova Gorica / Gorizia.
