Now it is the turn of the City Hall of Kiruna, European Capital of Culture for 2029, Kristallen, where the exhibition will be on display in the atrium from 3 April to 30 May 2025.

“At a time when it is more important than ever to promote creativity and sustainable development, we feel it is very important to recognise the design leaders in Norrbotten. Our region contains an incredible variety of expression in form and design, from the traditional to the contemporary, and it is this diversity that we want to highlight through this group exhibition. Being able to present the work of designers working here in the north is inspiring and meaningful, not least because it encourages more people to invest in the area. ‘We are very pleased about the cooperation with the Kiruna Municipality and extremely grateful for the support we have received from our donors, who make this exhibition possible”, says AnnKathrin Lundqvist, President of Svensk Form Norrbotten.

“We are very happy to welcome the Formbärare in focus exhibition into the living rooms of the people of Kiruna. Norrbotten is a very interesting area in terms of form and design, and it is fun to be able to admire some of this wealth. I believe that the residents of the municipality and our visitors will be surprised and inspired by the form bearers highlighted in the exhibition. Not least, we are delighted that Britta Marakatt Labba, the design representative of the year 2024, is represented with a new work”, says Markus Forsberg, Deputy Director of Culture at the Kiruna Municipality's Administration for Culture and Education.

Form Bearers in Focus 2013-2023 is a travelling project that will be exhibited at various locations in Norr- and Västerbotten during 2024 and 2025.
