On 16-17 August, Liepāja will become the venue for the educational conference "ArtMatters!". The conference is organised by the National Centre forEducation as part of the project "Skola2030" together with partnersto inspire teachers and provide a space for sharing experiences.

Liepaja has been awarded the title of a 2027 European Capital of Culture, the organizers of the competition said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Before the indication, by the panel of the pre-selection for the European Capital of Culture 2027 of Portugal, we had interviewed the teams of some of the competing cities. One of these is Coimbra which failed to enter the short list.
