In the last 2 years, the Plovdiv Regional Museum of Natural History has built the only Tropic Hall in Bulgaria with a collection of live butterflies, where visitors can see, meet and experience a huge variety of butterflies from different parts of the world.
The project idea The Butterflies Festival aims to expand the educational, informational, and visual part of the Hall "Tropic" by organizing an open-air and digital festival. The festival includes workshops with quizzes and educational games, organization of Pavilions "Metamorphosis", photo exhibition, Publication of Atlas of the Butterflies etc.
The project raises awareness, knowledge, and experiences with the nature that surrounds us, offering a new event for the cultural scene of Plovdiv and the region, developing a new tool and audiences to touch and relax wildlife, as well as increase their knowledge about it.
The activities will take place each day from 3rd till the 6th from 10 am till 6 pm in and around the Natural History Museum.
