The guide aims to provide artists, associations, collectives, cultural organisations and people embarking on their professional careers with a single resource that brings together creative spaces, rehearsal rooms, recording studios, cultural centres, professionals, organisations and other useful resources for promoting cultural initiatives throughout Extremadura.

Beyond its role as a directory, the publication seeks to become a tool for building connections between those involved in creating culture across the region. In doing so, the Cultural Activation Office hopes to encourage interaction between projects, promote partnerships and continue building an increasingly strong network among Extremadura's various cultural stakeholders.

Legacy

The guide has been designed with a long-term vision. It is a "living" document that will be updated regularly to include new venues, professionals, open calls, funding opportunities and resources. It will also allow artists, associations, collectives and cultural managers to request the inclusion of their projects, continually expanding this collaborative map of cultural creation in Extremadura.

The first edition already features dozens of resources from across the region, ranging from spaces for young creators and cultural centres to recording studios, audiovisual production facilities and professionals working in a variety of creative fields. It thus provides a snapshot of Extremadura's cultural potential while making it easier for different stakeholders to connect, collaborate and create new opportunities.

The publication also represents another example of the legacy that Cáceres' bid to become European Capital of Culture 2031 is already creating across the region. The Cultural Activation Office, one of the first permanent projects launched by the Consortium, continues to establish itself as a stable service providing support, advice and professional development for the cultural sector, thereby strengthening Extremadura's creative fabric.
