In recent days, the handover between the European Capitals of Culture 2023 and this year's European Capitals of Culture was held in Athens, for the second time ever since the European Capital of Culture programme was born. It is a happy intuition of Nancy Braun, Director General of Esch 2022, who already desired this initiative for the first time last year for the handover from Esch 2022, Novi Sad 2022 and Kaunas 2022 to Veszprem 2023, Eleusis 2023 and Timisoara 2023.

There have been 11.6 million visitors to Bergamo and Brescia during the Italian Capital of Culture year that is drawing to a close. A twinning in the name of culture that will not remain limited to this year alone: in 2024, in fact, the Ciclovia (bicycle route) that will unite the two territories will be inaugurated.

In recent years, spectacular street art has appeared in several parts of Veszprém, including the Jutasi Housing Estate, Stadion street, and the Viaduct area. Two new areas have recently been covered with paintings, so if you're curious to see the finished works, head to the Veszprém Arena and the Maxon Tunnel.

On 15, 16 and 17 December, 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture, having achieved a small miracle in the city of Elefsina, one of the smallest cities that have hosted the institution, celebrates the completion of the official title year with a unique three-day celebration titled Mystery 1 Closing : Opening, A Ceremony.

From the beginning of December, Veszprém will be transformed into a winter wonderland, where children and adults alike can find the recreation of their hearts' desire.
