From now on, the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl - Salzkammergut 2024 boldly calls itself “The Originals 2024” (“Die Originale 2024”). This brand offers all the freedom under which a diverse program can develop. At the same time, it reflects the region. The motto “No Copies * No Limits” shows that Die Originale 2024 is unique but does not close itself off. It has no boundaries.
The Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture Programme and Salzkammergut, title holder for ECoC 2024 jointly recommend the i-Portunus mobility programme to musicians, composers and singers active in classical music, jazz and folk (traditional) music.
The Tartu 2024 delegation travelled over 1000 kilometres and visited 19 Southern Estonian municipalities over the course of four days. The cooperation agreement was signed by Priit Mikk, Member of the Board at Tartu 2024; Urmas Klaas, Chairman of the Supervisory Council and the Mayor of Tartu; and the Mayor (vallavanem) of every respective municipality. The agreement is the basis for preparing and implementing the major European event - it guides the creation, marketing, and funding of the European Capital of Culture’s regional programme.
