Bradford 2025 is the company created to deliver the Bradford district’s year of culture. A hugely exciting time for the Bradford district, we’re set to deliver more than 1,000 new performances and events. It’s an opportunity for the city to about bring a new side of Bradford to the world.

In 2026 all eyes will turn to the North when Oulu and its 39 partner municipalities from Northern Finland will be filled with culture, art, and the power of community spirit. The cultural program is made together with local and European partners so that it can be seen and heard throughout Europe. The European Capital of Culture is the most important culture-related initiative of the European Union. And Ecocnews is the first and only newspaper to report on this competition on a European level and specifically.
České Budějovice received the title of European Capital of Culture 2028. To ensure its successful implementation, the city established a registered institute, which is looking for an executive director for the following years.
In support of Ukrainian culture EcocNews has launched a petition for one of the three European Capitals of Culture to be chosen in 2030. We have reached over 300 signatures, but the petition is still open and can be found here. Another even more important initiative in support of Ukrainian culture is ZMINA: Rebuilding.

Bradford has been named as UK City of Culture 2025. Their vision is to use arts and culture to fuel the social, economic and creative renaissance of their district; to make Bradford one of the most welcoming places in the UK where artists, producers, audiences and creative entrepreneurs can flourish. Bradford 2025 is looking for a head of audience to contribute to strategic plans for Bradford 2025 to develop and grow audiences across the Bradford district, nationally and internationally as well as develop and communicate the brand, their values and attract visitors both online and in person.

Bodo 2024 is looking for a composer/musical director who, together with a creative team, will work on a fantastic midsummer event in June 2024. The midsummer event will be one of the highlights of the programme for Bodø2024 European Capital of Culture.
