Karas Gallery is an exhibition space of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU) with a long tradition in the contemporary art scene. After many years of activity at Praška 4, since 2018, it now operates at the address Kralja Zvonimira 58. Recognizing the need to redefine and create a new cultural identity for the neighborhood where Karas Gallery is located, within the EU project CreART 3.0, a collaborative artistic program titled KARAS + KVART is organized, envisioned in a collaborative and co-creation model between one local artist and one artist from the network.

Tartu 2024, European Capital of Culture, has launched a call as part of a project called Vares. Application deadline: March 30, 2025. It’s an international interdisciplinary residency for spatial practice, whose main task is to seek, find and create alternative spatial practices that are not based on market logic, but rather on the desire to create spaces and places that enrich everyday life, empower the local community and town of Valga.
“Liepāja 2027” is inviting two performance artists from the CreArt Network to participate in the Liepāja AiR residency from June 16th to July 17th, 2025. During their stay, the artists will engage in a diverse cultural program designed to expand their understanding of the city and its surrounding region. The expected outcome of the residency is a community-engaging site-specific performative work. The outcomes of the residency will become part of the “Agora of Values” public program oganized by Liepāja 2027
The underground transit space of the underpass that leads from Gen. M. R. Štefánik Park to the historical centre of Trenčín, is one of the most important and most frequented pedestrian routes within the city. The aim of the competition is to define vision and strategy for the underpass and to transform the underground part of the underpass into a safe, pleasant, illuminated and accessible public space with elements of art and design.
The tradition of toy craftsmanship lives on. The European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 and Seiffen, the heart of Erzgebirge wooden toy manufacturing, invite the people to a unique event: European Toy maker festival 2025 August 29 – 31, 2025 at the former swimming pool in Seiffen, Saxony.
In 2030, two European countries and one each from Montenegro and Ukraine will designate the three European Capitals of Culture. The running cities in the countries that have applied to join the EU are Lviv (Ukraine) and Nikšić (Montenegro). The other two countries are Belgium and Cyprus.

Oulu, together with 39 municipalities, will be the European Capital of Culture in 2026. Oulu2026 is now launching an open call, inviting local communities and individuals to contribute to the programme. The call, which runs until the end of August 2025, will see decisions on programme proposals made every four months. The “We Are the Culture” call allows participants to propose their own events or other programmes to be part of the Capital of Culture year. Additionally, applicants can apply for grants to support the execution of their proposed programmes.
