Ex corpore is a project, that includes an extensive research process and series of events. It is focused on the development of stage techniques based on the re-invention of the image-technique-body-speech-meaning relationship.

How will the future be? what legacy will the European capital of culture leave behind?  Timisoara 2023 has tried to answer these questions during a meeting held in recent days.

The International Day of Happiness, celebrated on the 20th of March, returns to Kaunas, Kaunas District and all of Lithuania again this year: “Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022” invites you to celebrate it for the fourth time, under the theme “Time to rise”.

From now on, the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl - Salzkammergut 2024 boldly calls itself “The Originals 2024” (“Die Originale 2024”). This brand offers all the freedom under which a diverse program can develop. At the same time, it reflects the region. The motto “No Copies * No Limits” shows that Die Originale 2024 is unique but does not close itself off. It has no boundaries.

After winning “Creative Europe” funding in May, “Kaunas 2022” project “Modernism for the Future 365/360” gains momentum: the received submissions were carefully evaluated and the commission selected artists to participate at local and international residencies.

The Tartu 2024 delegation travelled over 1000 kilometres and visited 19 Southern Estonian municipalities over the course of four days. The cooperation agreement was signed by Priit Mikk, Member of the Board at Tartu 2024; Urmas Klaas, Chairman of the Supervisory Council and the Mayor of Tartu; and the Mayor (vallavanem) of every respective municipality. The agreement is the basis for preparing and implementing the major European event - it guides the creation, marketing, and funding of the European Capital of Culture’s regional programme.

A tripartite agreement has been signed by the Self-Government of Veszprém Municipal City, Veszprém-Balaton 2023 Jlc. and Veszprém Regional Court. The agreement facilitates the development of the Veszprém Dungeon Museum, the former Ruttner House, and the Castle Gardens area. 

Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022 (Lithuania) in cooperation with Liebling Haus – The White City Center (Tel Aviv) announce an open call for artistic residencies in modernist cities.

The "French Capital of Culture" label will distinguish, every two years, a commune or group of communes from 20,000 to 200,000 inhabitants distinguishing themselves by the support to creation, the valorization of heritage, the artistic and cultural transmission, the mobilization of residents, as well as the involvement of artists and cultural actors established in the territory.

On the island of Malta, after Valletta in 2018, they are already thinking about the next European capital of culture. In fact, in 2031, exactly 10 years from now, Malta will again have this title together with Spain.

Plovdiv 2019 Foundation, through its Legacy programme, announces two open calls for projects, festivals and creative activities to ensure the sustainability of the European Capital of Culture project in the city.

 Procida - in the bay of Naples - beat nine other candidates. These were: Ancona, Bari, Cerveteri, L'Aquila, Pieve di Soligo near Treviso, Taranto, Trapani, Verbania and Volterra. 

Esch is the European Capital of Culture 2022, featuring the town of Esch-sur-Alzette, the eleven Luxembourg municipalities of the Pro Sud association and the eight French municipalities of the CCPHVA region.
