The underground transit space of the underpass that leads from Gen. M. R. Štefánik Park to the historical centre of Trenčín, is one of the most important and most frequented pedestrian routes within the city. The aim of the competition is to define vision and strategy for the underpass and to transform the underground part of the underpass into a safe, pleasant, illuminated and accessible public space with elements of art and design.

Launching the month of Liepāja’s 400th anniversary celebration, the Liepāja Holy Trinity Cathedral on Saturday, 1 March 2025, at 17:00 will host a sacred music concert, “Caur gaismu nāk un sudrabs top” (Through Light Cometh Silver Shine).

European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026 enriches the region not only with cultural events but also through educational activities. One of its goals is to prepare a new generation capable of addressing challenges and contributing to the region’s development.

Matera (Italy) and Tetouan (Morocco) have been named the 2026 Mediterranean Capitals of Culture and Dialogue, a yearlong distinction that celebrates the cities’ rich cultural heritage and shared Mediterranean vision, by the Union for the Mediterranean and the Anna Lindh Foundation.

In the last days, Bielsko-Biała, Poland, became an international hub for discussions on the role of culture in addressing modern health challenges. The “Culture for Health and Well-being” conference brought together over 200 participants and 23 speakers from 18 countries to explore how cultural participation and artistic activities can impact mental health, support individuals in crisis, and shape modern public health approaches.
