The Open College summer school for cultural managers was organised as part of the Open Minds programme line of Nikšić 2030 – European Capital of Culture, bringing together cultural professionals, producers, representatives of institutions and organisations, as well as young practitioners from Montenegro and the region.

The exhibition titled “Terram intelligere: Interstitium,” with which Montenegro presented itself at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2025, was opened at King Nikola’s Palace in Nikšić.

Works by the famous anonymous artist Ememem have appeared in Nikšić; an artist whose identity remains unknown, but whose work has been celebrated in some of the world’s most significant urban settings.

As part of the Nikšić 2030 – European Capital of Culture project and the (RE)ANIMACIJA – Festival of European Animated Film and Illustration, an international thematic competition for illustration and animation titled HUMAN has been officially announced. Deadline: March 01.

The President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, hosted a reception for Suzana Žilič Fišer, a longtime member of the European Commission’s Panel of Experts and former director of the Maribor Institute — European Capital of Culture 2012.
