In January 2026, Oulu's smallest gallery will open its doors on Pakkahuoneenkatu, in the window of the Vox Wine Bar. Applications for exhibitions at Vox Galleria will be open from September 5 to 30, 2025.

Vox Galleria is now looking for 12 artists to fill not wine glasses, but the gallery's exhibition calendar for next year.

Oulu's smallest gallery is part of Manninen Art, Branding & Design's Galleria International project and is being realized in collaboration with Galleria MABD and Viinibaari Vox. An important element of the Galleria International project is to bring art closer to people, even in unexpected places.

Vox Galleria measures 30x73x10 cm (HxWxD) and the exhibition space is equipped with a stand on which the works can be placed. The exhibition lasts for one calendar month and the exhibition space is free of charge. The commission for the sale of the works is 30%, and gallery owner Hanna Manninen of Galleria MABD is responsible for the sale of the exhibited works.

Is it possible to send a free application to participate to Galleria MABD at Questo indirizzo email è protetto dagli spambots. È necessario abilitare JavaScript per vederlo.. The application must include a presentation of the artist, a CV, and an exhibition proposal with images of the works.

Meanwhile, KoronaGalleria's call for entries for the 2026-27 exhibition season closed in March, with 48 applications received by the deadline. The call was open and, in addition to providing regional information, was also aimed at art associations throughout Finland, among others. This made it possible to reach a large number of new artists whose works had never been exhibited in Oulainen before. The applications were reviewed with Hanna-Leena Ruottinen, the museum researcher responsible for the Oulu Art Museum. The selection process placed particular emphasis on the representativeness of different art forms and techniques, general interest, and diversity of artistic backgrounds. The selection took into account the quality of the applications and the main themes of Oulu 2026, the European Capital of Culture.

Next year, KoronaGalleria's exhibition year will be entirely part of the official program of Oulu2026, European Capital of Culture. Monthly temporary exhibitions include a group exhibition by Markku Joutsenen and Kai Ruohonen, as well as solo exhibitions by Johanna Pétursdottir and Lotta Nevanperä, partner artist of the 40th anniversary of Oula Music Weeks. Young artists such as Jonas Vuorma and Nina Inkiläinen will also be featured. The European dimension is ensured by the Finnish-Portuguese exhibition collaboration between the Oula Valovoima photography club and the Avintes photography festivals.

KoronaGalleria organizes a wide range of side programs open to everyone during the exhibitions, in collaboration with the artists. Some programs will also extend to the Oulainen area, for example through outdoor works.
