In close collaboration with the Valletta Cultural Agency (VCA) and Esplora Interactive Science Centre, MICAS presents the Shadow Colour Pavilion, an immersive sensorial experience, offering visitors the opportunity for playful creative engagement.

In 2022, Esch2022 will share the title of European Capital of Culture with Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania, and Novi Sad, the second largest city in Serbia. To promote this triangular relationship and highlight their common values, the three cities have launched a series of programmes and collaborations that will be presented, among others, as part of their respective opening ceremonies.

Starry sky, light pollution, astrotourism - an international conference organized by the Hajdú-Bihar County Government, closing the five-year cooperation of the Night Light project, was built around these three topics. During the event taking place in Debrecen, many regions of Europe presented themselves, jointly evaluating the results of the partnership and formulating the challenges for the coming years.

VTT in collaboration with Cross-KIC New European Bauhaus and the Oulu2026- the city of Oulu European Capital of Culture 2026 initiatives will bring together young and experienced consumers in a co-design event.

Band rehearsals, concerts, DJ sets, and BBQs. Trenčín’s skatepark community of skaters, bikers, scooter riders and youth in general can use a fully equipped garage for music and other events. This project that supports Trenčín’s candidacy for the European Capital of Culture creates opportunities for specific city communities to organise their own needs-based cultural programme. Garage opened on 25 September with music performances by rapper Gleb and the Trenčín bands Fraktúra, Cherry Street and Fyasco.
